The cost of health care is a subject of concern to many (most) citizens and it is a subject high on the agenda of the Democrats. I don't hear too much about it from Republicans and I think they may be missing the boat. Many billions of dollars have been spent over the last few decades to improve health care and I would like to suggest that Senator McCain put in his platform a proposal to spend a couple billion (or some number that seems reasonable to the medical establishment and the bean counters) to research ways to lower medical costs, i.e., develop lower cost equipment, procedures and medicines that will do the job as well.
